Like most of you, I love Valve. They don’t know how to make a bad game. As a matter of fact, their design is so impressive, that when I taught I would shove Portal and Portal 2 down the throats of design students just to observe and learn from it.
Needless to say, we at GAAM are truly, truly honored to have Valve as a donor for the Charity Auction portion of the GAAM Show. We’ll post up pics soon, and no, it’s not Half Life 2 Episode 3 related. I’m just saying that right now and getting that out of the way.
Thank you Valve, for your support, and your charitable donation.

I have such fond memories of Square-Enix. Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior were the first RPG games I fell in love with as a child, and I still have flashbacks of warm memories anytime I hear that Final Fantasy theme.
So I need to give a HUGE thank you to Square-Enix, and especially to their president, Mike Fischer. They donated a ton of items just to spread goodwill. They didn’t want anything in return, they didn’t ask any questions, they just new that this was going to help gaming culture and children, and they were in.
Thank you, Square-Enix! You can thank them at http://www.facebook.com/SquareEnix or https://twitter.com/SquareEnixUSA.

EA gets a lot of negative press from gamers. But they were actually the first gaming company to jump on board and support this event. So thank you EA, you’re A OK in my book! (Especially because we play Tiger Woods at work. It’s AWESOME!)
